Sabina's Paro FC crush Samtse FC by 28-0 in Bhutan Women’s League

Bangladesh national women’s football team captain Sabina Khatun delivered a historic performance in the Bhutan Women’s League on Thursday, netting 9 goals in a single match to lead her club Paro FC to a massive 28-0 victory over Club Samtse.

Paro FC’s dominance was overwhelming, with Bangladeshi players contributing 25 of the 28 goals. Alongside Sabina’s triple hat-trick, Monica Chakma scored 7 goals, Sumaiya Matsushima added 5, and Rituparna Chakma netted 4. Bhutanese players Sonam Chaki and Sonam Tismo added the remaining 3 goals.

Paro FC led 10-0 at halftime and continued their onslaught with 18 more goals in the second half. Club Samtse failed to register a single goal in the one-sided encounter.

Sabina Khatun, who was named Player of the Match, continues to shine in Bhutan's top-tier women's football league. Her incredible performance marks one of the highest individual goal tallies in a single match in the league's history.

A total of 10 Bangladeshi women footballers are currently participating in the Bhutan Women’s League. Apart from those at Paro FC, Rupana Chakma and Masura Parvin are playing for Transport United, while Sanjida Khatun, Maria Manda, and Shamsunnahar represent Thimphu FC. **
