Selling TCB products through permanent shops is under consideration: Titu
To reduce the sufferings of card holders, TCB's products are being considered to be supplied to permanent stores, said State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu.
He further said a day laborer spends his entire working hours coming to collect TCB products. As a result, he is deprived of income of Tk700 to Tk800.
Ahsanul Islam Titu came up with the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at TCB's smart card and wheelchair distribution programme in Tangail's Nagarpur on Friday (March 22).
The Minister said, "Various products are being provided to one crore families across the country every month through TCB. Among them, there are 16 thousand 429 families in Nagarpur. For this, there is a plan to supply products to permanent shops taking Nagarpur as a model."
"Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman established TCB in 1972 to play a significant role in meeting the needs of the people of the country. Especially the products which are not produced in our country have to be imported from abroad. TCB was created to import and export goods," he added.
