Shakib, Mustafiz return to Bangladesh squad

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday announced the squad for the final two T20 matches against Zimbabwe. Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, and Soumya Sarkar are back in the team, while Parvez Hossain Emon and Afif Hossain have been omitted. Additionally, Shariful Islam has been given a rest.

Shakib opted for leave from the national team to participate in the Dhaka Premier League, while Mustafizur was rested upon his return from the IPL. Soumya Sarkar, after overcoming injury, rejoined the team ahead of the World Cup. The Bangladesh T20 World Cup squad is set to be announced following the conclusion of this series.

With a dominant 3-0 lead, Bangladesh has already secured victory in the five-match T20 series. The final two matches of the series are scheduled to be held at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on May 10 and 12.
