Shariful's fingerprints did not match the samples found at Saif Ali Khan's house
A Bangladeshi named Shariful Islam Shehzad was arrested on charges of attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. However, a week after his arrest, questions have arisen about whether the person who entered Saif's house in the elite residential area of Bandra on the night of the attack was Shariful at all?
On Sunday, NDTV Online reported that Shariful's fingerprints did not match the samples collected from Saif Ali Khan's house. After the arrest, 10 fingerprints were sent to Shariful Islam for forensic testing. The report given by the fingerprint experts of the Maharashtra CID shows that none of the 19 samples found at Saif's house matched Shariful. Therefore, the question arises whether Shariful was the one who attacked Saif's house at all.
Shariful's father has already claimed from Bangladesh that the person seen in the CCTV footage released by the police is not his son Shariful.
Saif was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital in a bloody state in the early hours of January 16. It was claimed that a miscreant had entered his house the previous night. The attacker attacked Saif with a sharp weapon after being prevented from doing so. On January 18, members of the Crime Suppression Branch of Mumbai Police arrested Shariful from a labor settlement in Thane area.
