Sheikh Hasina congratulates national cricket team

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has congratulated the national cricket team for their victory over Sri Lanka in their first match of the T20 World Cup.

She congratulated the team in a message on Saturday (June 8) morning.

In his congratulatory message, the Prime Minister hoped that the cricket team would continue to make all-out efforts to win the remaining matches.

Earlier, The Tigers opened their campaign with a two-wicket win over the Lankans in Friday’s Group D clash in Dallas.

Chasing 125, the Tigers reached their destination with an over to spare with Towhid Hridoy top-scoring with 40 and Liton Das chipping in with 36. Mahmudullah guided Bangladesh to the victory with his unbeaten 16.
