Dhaka’s Mohammadpur Kitchen Market president Abul Hossain and his younger brother Mahbub Hossain sustained bullet injuries as miscreants allegedly opened fire on them. Witnesses said the miscreants riding on a motorbike opened fire on the duo who was sitting inside the office of the market committee adjacent to Shia Masjid around 9:30pm on Thursday and fled the scene immediately. Traders of the market rushed them to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College. Shamim Reza, duty-officer of Mohammadpur police station, confirming the matter said that no case has been filed in this regard yet.

রাজধানীর মোহাম্মদপুরে শিয়া মসজিদ কাঁচা বাজারের কমিটি নিয়ে দ্বন্দ্বে দুই ভাইকে গুলি করা হয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার রাত সাড়ে আটটার দিকে শিয়া মসজিদ এলাকার এ ঘটনা ঘটে বলে জানিয়েছেন মোহাম্মদপুর থানার ওসি ইফতেখার হাসান। আহতরা হলেন শিয়া মসজিদ কাঁচা বাজার কমিটির সভাপতি আবুল হোসেন ও তার ভাই মাহবুব হোসেন। প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা জানান, তারা দুই ভাই বাজার কমিটির অফিসে বসে আলাপ করছিলেন, এসময় দুর্বৃত্তরা তাদের উপরে গুলি চালায়। পরে তাদের শহীদ সোহরাওয়ার্দী মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে নেওয়া হয়।
