The six accused who have been remanded are journalist Hafiz Al Asad, also known as Sayeed Khan, along with Sanaul Haque Niru, Alamgir, Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, also known as Nayeem, Abdul Aziz Sultan, and Mayeen.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arobia Khanam issued the order after the police presented the accused in court and requested a 10-day remand for each.

According to the case documents, a mob of five to six thousand people ransacked Kazipara Metro Rail Station from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm on July 19. They looted expensive equipment and destroyed all the windows, screens, and ticket vending machines, among other items.
