South African team arrives in Dhaka to play two Tests

The South African cricket team has arrived in Bangladesh. The Proteas landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport shortly before 9.00 am on Wednesday.

During this tour, the proteas will play a two-match Test series against the Tigers, which is part of the World Test Championship. The first Test between Bangladesh and South Africa will begin on October 21 at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The second and final Test will take place from October 29 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Despite being injured, South Africa's regular Test captain Temba Bavuma has come to Bangladesh with the team. He will not be able to play in the first Test but will lead the team in the second Test. In the first Test, the team will be captained by batter Aiden Markram.
