Soybean oil price goes up by Tk10 per litre

The price of soybean oil has gone up by Tk10 per litre.

Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vanaspati Manufacturers Association issued a press release in this regard on Tuesday.

According to the new announcement, soybean oil will be sold at Tk173 from now on as the new price takes effect immediately.

The decision of price hike came as the notice issued on February 7 for the import of raw materials of edible oil at the production stage expired on April 15.

For this reason, edible oil (refined palm oil and refined soybean oil) will be supplied in the market from April 16 at the previous price without VAT exemption, the press release said.

Hence, from Tuesday, per litre bottled soybean oil will be sold at Tk 173, while five liters of bottled soybean oil will be sold at Tk 845.
