A fire broke out in a compartment of the Mahua commuter train in Sreepur, Gazipur, leading to the suspension of all train services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route. The incident took place around 11:15am on Thursday (April 3), near the Satkhamair railway station. Two units from the Sreepur Fire Service responded promptly and managed to bring the fire under control, confirmed Mohammad Mamun, deputy assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service. He said, "However, no casualties have been reported yet."

গাজীপুরের শ্রীপুরে মহুয়া কমিউটার ট্রেনের একটি বগিতে আগুন লাগার ঘটনা ঘটেছে। এ ঘটনায় ঢাকা-ময়মনসিংহ রুটে ট্রেন চলাচল বন্ধ রয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার (৩ এপ্রিল) সকাল সোয়া ১১টার দিকে ঢাকা-ময়মনসিংহ রেলপথের সাতখামাইরে র রেলওয়ে স্টেশনের কাছে ঘটনাটি ঘটে। এ বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে গাজীপুর ফায়ার সার্ভিসের উপ-সহকারী পরিচালক মোহাম্মদ মামুন বলেন, শ্রীপুর ফায়ার সার্ভিসের দুটি ইউনিট দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। তবে এখনও কোনো হতাহতের খবর পাওয়া যায়নি।
