Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, the State Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment, announced plans to form an investigation committee tasked with probing the reasons behind the inability to deploy workers to Malaysia.
He also mentioned that punitive actions will be taken against those implicated in causing this crisis.

He said, "The Malaysian government allocated a quota to send over five hundred thousand workers, which Bangladesh endeavored to fulfill. Through discussions with the Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA), efforts were made to determine visa recipients. However, complications arose with the flight as the airlines were unable to provide the necessary passenger list."
He further said, "later 22 special flights were arranged to send workers. At the same time, a letter has also been sent to the Malaysian government to extend the time. But the letter has not yet been answered."
"Later, 22 special flights were arranged to transport workers. Simultaneously, a letter was sent to the Malaysian government requesting an extension of time. However, as of now, there has been no response to the letter," he added.
The state minister said that the embassy and the ministry are working to solve this problem. Legal action will be taken against those who are harassing.
