Suspect arrested for killing two Bangladeshis in New York
The Buffalo police have arrested the man who allegedly killed two Bangladeshis at Buffalo in New York. The suspect, identified as Dale Cummings (31), was produced before the Buffalo City Court on Monday afternoon.
The city of Buffalo became turbulent after the incident in which Dale Cummings shot and killed two Bangladeshis –identified as Abu Saleh Yusuf Johnny (53) of Kanaighat upazila in Sylhet, and Babul Mia (50) of Nangalkot upazila in Cumilla – on Saturday (April 27) at 100 block of East Ferry and Jenner Street in Buffalo.
According to the Buffalo Police Department, Babul Mia and Abu Yusuf went there to clean a house on Jenner Street. As they reached the porch, a man from inside opened fire, killing one instantly. The other died after being rushed to the hospital.
The assailant fled, but police obtained CCTV footage from neighbours.
Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gragmaglia said, "Cummings had a 9-mm-long rifle that can be folded and easily concealed in a bag."
Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said, "The wife of one of the victims is pregnant. He is survived by two children, including a newborn, while another leaves behind seven children."
