Sydney Test: India bowled out for 185
India were dismissed for 185 in their first innings on day one of the fifth and final Test against Australia in Sydney on Friday.
After choosing to bat, India faltered against relentless pace bowling, with Rishabh Pant top-scoring on 40, followed by Ravindra Jadeja with 26 and Jasprit Bumrah who made 22. Scott Boland was the standout bowler, taking 4 wickets for 31 runs, while Mitchell Starc claimed 3 wickets for 49 runs.
Australia, requiring a win to reclaim the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, finished the day at 9-1, with Jasprit Bumrah dismissing Usman Khawaja off the final ball.
Boland's exceptional performance has put Australia in a commanding position, and a victory would also secure their place in the World Test Championship final.
