Tahsan gives clarification on BCS exam rumours
Popular musician and singer Tahsan Rahman Khan has provided a clarification on his participation in the 24th BCS exam.
Talking to a national daily on Wednesday, Tahsan said that he never took the BCS exam, and Syed Abed Ali – now in the spotlight because of a question leak scam – was never a driver for his mother Zinatun Nesa Tahmida Begum's personal vehicle.
Earlier on Wednesday, one information went viral on social media platforms about Tahsan's participation in the 24th BCS examination.
The information claimed that Tahsan ranked first in the foreign affairs cadre from the 24th BCS during the tenure of his mother as chairman and Syed Abed Ali, who had been arrested over the BPSC question paper leak scam, was the driver of his mother's vehicle. It added that when the exam was cancelled and re-conducted, he failed the viva voice.
According to official sources, Prof Zinatun Nesa Tahmida Begum was chairman of the BPSC from May 2002 to May 2007 while Abed Ali was a driver at the BPSC from 1997 to 2014. Moreover, Abed was never a driver for any chairman; he was a chauffeur for a joint secretary.
