Tamim Iqbal travels to Singapore for better treatment
Country's experienced opener and former national team captain Tamim Iqbal has finally moved to Singapore for better treatment. He left Dhaka on Monday (April 7) night.
Tamim was discharged from the capital's Evercare Hospital on March 28. On the advice of doctors, it was then reported that although he was out of danger, he may need more advanced treatment. In that vein, he was taken to Singapore this time. Although it has not been officially announced which hospital he will be admitted to.
It is worth noting that Tamim suddenly fell ill on March 25 while preparing to play a Dhaka Premier League match at BKSP. Initially, he was taken to the local KPJ Hospital. When his physical condition deteriorated there, an angiogram quickly detected a 100% block in one of his veins. A stent was immediately inserted in the blocked blood vessel.
Later, when his condition improved, he was transferred to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka and was treated there for a few days. Now that he has recovered somewhat physically, he has been taken to Singapore for further tests and treatment.
