Taskin Ahmed suffers injury scare
Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed missed the fifth and final T20 against Zimbabwe due to a side strain injury.
He suffered the injury when he dived to save runs during the fourth T20 that Bangladesh eventually won by five runs to take 4-0 lead.
The extent of the injury is unknown.
BCB chief physician Dr Debashis Chowdhury said, "Taskin suffered injury while he dived to save runs during fourth T20 game against Zimbabwe. He has pain still and therefore he missed out the fifth game."
"He is under observation. We are taking care of his injury," Debashis added.
Taskin has been in tremendous form in the series, taking eight wickets in four matches.
Injury has been the synonymous in Taskin's life since he started his career in the professional cricket. He even took rest from the Test cricket to manage his injury.
After the World Cup in India last year in which he suffered a shoulder injury, Taskin was given rest from the Sri Lanka and New Zealand series. He then returned to cricket with BPL and the Zimbabwe series was his first International assignment since the World Cup.
