Teenager raped on Eid day in Darussalam

A 14-year-old girl was raped at a residential hotel in the capital's Darussalam.

She is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital.

The victim's father mentioned that his daughter was employed at a garment factory in the Shah Ali area. On Monday (March 31), the accused youth convinced her to accompany him, claiming they were going to his sister's house. However, he later took her to a residential hotel and raped her.

After returning home, the girl informed her family members about the matter.

However, the police claim that the girl was in a love relationship with the youth accused of rape.

Confirming the matter, Darussalam Police Station's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rakib Ul Hasan, said, "The case is being processed, and efforts to apprehend the accused youth are ongoing."
