Three died in capital due to electrocution amid stormy night
Three people, including two women, died after being electrocuted in separate incidents in the capital during heavy rains caused by Cyclone Remal.
On Monday night (May 28), two people were electrocuted in the Khilgaon area, and one person was electrocuted in Jatrabari.
Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, stated that when they were taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the doctor on duty declared them dead.
A 15-year-old girl named Liza Akhtar died in Jatrabari. She hailed from Charjabbar upazila in Noakhali district and was the daughter of Siraj Khan. Her family lives in a rented house in Jatrabari.
