After securing a 2-0 whitewash over Pakistan in the Test series, the Bangladesh cricket team is set to play in India. The Tigers on Sunday have departed for India to compete in a two-match Test series.

Before departing Dhaka, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto addressed the media at the airport. Regarding their upcoming goals, he said, "Playing as a unified team is crucial. We aim to play quality cricket and our objective is to secure a win. We are committed to this goal. Personally, I have prepared thoroughly and will do my best to contribute to the team’s success."

Shanto said, "This series will be very challenging for us, as the opponents are significantly higher in the rankings. The key for us over the next five days is to play excellent cricket. Many matches go down to the final day and are decided then, so if we can extend the game to the last day, we may have a chance."

The first Test between India and Bangladesh is set to begin on September 19 in Chennai, with the second Test scheduled to start on September 27 in Kanpur.
