The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has expelled a total of 217 leaders for disobeying party decisions during the ongoing upazila council elections. The expulsions occurred in four phases: 80 leaders in the first phase, 69 in the second, 55 in the third, and 13 in the fourth and final phase.
