Increase supply of goods in TCB trucks
The purpose of the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) is to maintain market stability and provide essential goods at fair prices to the general and lower-income people by storing some essential commodities and selling them during emergencies. Initially, TCB's supply of goods was quite sufficient. However, over time, while the queues of buyers have grown longer, the supply of goods on the trucks has been decreasing.
India lifts ban on onion export
India lifted the ban on onion exports on Saturday (May 4) after nearly five months of restricting the shipment of the widely consumed vegetable. The initial restriction was imposed to stabilize prices in the domestic market prior to the election.
TCB to sell onion at Tk40 per kg today
State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu on Monday said that the state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) would start selling onion imported from India at Taka 40 per kg from Tuesday (April 2).
1650 tonnes onions coming from India Friday
Bangladesh is going to import 50,000 tonnes of onions from India, despite the country’s ongoing ban on onion export. The first imported consignment of 1,650 tonnes of onions will enter Bangladesh from India on Friday (March 29).

As if heat is applied to mercury, its heat increases, similarly, day by day the price of onion with production cost of Tk 28 per kg can increase to Tk 60 to Tk 400. The whole thing is a manipulation of a certain circle. And if those manipulators get news of India's ban on onion exports, who gets them!
39, 000 MT onion to be imported from India
The government has approved import 39, 000 metric tonnes of onion from India to meet local demand ahead of the Ramadan.
