Workers deserve dignity despite unfair pay

Bangladesh's economy, progress, and prospects all hinge on three words starting with the letter 'R' in English: Rice, Remittance, and RMG. Simply put, these three constitute the lifeblood of Bangladesh's economy. They represent labor-intensive work. To put it bluntly, Bangladesh's development and progress rely significantly on the contribution of labor, rather than on intellect, talent, or skill. Bangladesh stands on the shoulders of its workers. The real backbone of Bangladesh is its labor force. The most readily available and cheapest resource in Bangladesh is its people, thus labor comes at the lowest cost.

The song that sings, "Emon deshti kothao khuje pabe nako tumi, sokol desher rani se j amar jonmobhumi (You won't find a country like this anywhere, the queen of all countries, my homeland)," fills us with emotion. But is it really true that Bangladesh is the most beautiful country in the world, truly the queen of all countries? Objectively, this claim may not hold true, but to us, it feels like the ultimate truth driven by our emotions. Our country always appears the most beautiful to our eyes. However, beauty is always relative. Yet, in reality, the most beautiful place in Bangladesh is often its hilly regions.

Shahrukh Khan is 58 years old. For a long time, success seemed to elude him; however, last year he returned to the screen in a new avatar as King Khan. First, he portrayed a Pathan, then a youthful character, and finally, he unleashed his signature charm with a storm. The Mumbai film industry, sitting humbly in the south, seemed to embrace Shahrukh anew. Last year, his three films may not have created storms at the box office like his previous ones. However, there has been much discussion, especially about his collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani. Many were intrigued by the prospect of their first collaboration. Due to the anticipation generated by films like "3 Idiots," "PK," and "Munna Bhai," Hirani had become an audience favorite. I haven't watched any of Shahrukh's three films from last year yet. However, I will watch "Dunki." Despite the fact that Shahrukh Khan is the reason for many, the primary reason lies more with Hirani. However, "Dunki" has been crafted with an underlying theme of illicit migration, reflecting the aspirations of a better life that drive many individuals from India to try illegal paths to reach Europe or America. In Punjab, India, such attempts are termed "Dunki flights." The film "Dunki" is inspired by such narratives.

I always call the Jatiya party, as ‘Jatiya circus party. The party formed under the autocratic Ershad is a stain in Bangladesh's politics. Jatiya Party, which was born on January 1, 1986 when Ershad was in power, has no ideological character. It is entirely marked by opportunism. The true character of the party, which was born with leaders gathered by the greed for power, was revealed in 1990 with the overthrow of the dictator Ershad in a mass movement. How many times Jatiya Party has broken up since Ershad's fall and how many registered and unregistered organizations there are now called 'Jatiya Party' is a matter of great research. Once again, the national party stands on the brink of disintegration. This time the fight will be taking place between Devar-Bhabi (Brother-in-law Vs Sister-in-law).
