A cloth trader was crushed under the wheels of a train in Brahmanbaria’s Shimrail Kandi area on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Md Kabir Alam (32), a resident of Nasirnagar upazila’s Gujiakhail village. Confirming the matter, Brahmanbaria Railway Police Station outpost Sub-inspector Md Saiful Islam said, “The body was sent to the Brahmanbaria General Hospital morgue.” “The body will be handed over to the family after an autopsy,” he added.

ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ায় ট্রেনে কাটা পড়ে এক কাপড় ব্যবসায়ী নিহত হয়েছেন। শনিবার (২ নভেম্বর) জেলা শহরের শিমরাইলকান্দি এলাকায় এই ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত কাপড় ব্যবসায়ীর নাম মো. কবির আলম (৩২)। তিনি নাসিরনগর উপজেলার গুজিয়াখাইল গ্রামের বাসিন্দা। ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া রেলওয়ে থানা পুলিশ ফাঁড়ির উপ-পরিদর্শক মো. সাইফুল ইসলাম এ বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন। তিনি জানান, লাশটি ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া জেনারেল হাসপাতালে মর্গে পাঠানো হয়েছে। তিনি আরও বলেন, ময়নাতদন্ত শেষে মরদেহটি নিহতের পরিবারের কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হবে।
