Two advisers urge students not to respond to provocations

Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan has urged the students of seven colleges affiliated to Dhaka University (DU) to play their civic role in maintaining law and order without listening to any provocation.

He made this call at a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy on Wednesday (November 20).

Adviser Asif Mahmud, referring to fruitful discussions with representatives of seven colleges, said that it will take time to fulfill their demands.

The adviser said that the incident at Titumir College is very unpleasant and the reason for today's clash between the students of Dhaka College and City College is not at all clear.

Another adviser Mahfuz Alam was present at the press conference. He also urged the students not to be provoked or misled by others.

Addressing the students, Mahfuz Alam said discuss with the government through proper channels and the government is ready to listen to you to solve the problem.

Mentionable, a clash erupted between the students of Dhaka College and City College yesterday in the afternoon at Science Lab area in the capital, injuring at least 32 people.
