Two Bangladeshi youths killed in BSF firing

Two youths lost their lives due to gunfire from the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Tetulia border in Panchagarh. The incident occurred in the 447 pillar area of the border, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Ronchandi BGB camp, on the night of Tuesday (May 7).

Tetulia Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sujoy Kumar confirmed the matter

The deceased were Jalil, 24, son of Junu Mia, a resident of Magura village under the upazila, and Yasin Ali, 23, son of Ketab Ali of Tirnihat Bramtol village of the same upazila.

Lieutenant Colonel Jubayed Hasan, the Commander of the 18 BGB Battalion in Panchagarh, stated, "We have been informed about the unfortunate deaths of two Bangladeshi youths at the Tetulia border. A flag meeting has already been called in this regard. Further details will be provided later."
