Upon receiving list of 'corrupt individuals', ACC will investigate: Quader
Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the ACC will be allowed to investigate if it gets the list of 'corrupt' leaders of the Awami League.
He made the comments at a press conference held at the Awami League central office on Bangabandhu Avenue on Saturday (June 8).
When questioned about potential measures against numerous party leaders, the Awami League general secretary said, "Identify those whom you believe to be corrupt. Provide the list, and we will prompt the ACC to conduct an investigation."
Media reports suggest that the BNP intends to address the corruption within the ruling party. In response to this issue, Quader stated, "BNP has a history of corruption, earning the title of a five-time world champion; This is widely acknowledged across Bangladesh."
"BNP leaders are claiming they will introduce an anti-corruption program. It's ironic that the main leaders of the BNP, who are identified as corrupt, would lead such initiatives. This is truly the best joke of the year," he added.
