He told this reporters after the meeting at the chief adviser at his residence Jamuna on Saturday (May 24) night.
Nahid Islam said: "We had a demand regarding the banning of Awami League, which was supposed to be implemented within 30 working days. This issue was also discussed. Along with this, we told the Chief Adviser that the rehabilitation of those injured and martyred in the July movement was also slow."
He said: "Another issue was discussed, that all the elections held during Sheikh Hasina's tenure were controversial. Therefore, I have asked the Chief Adviser to declare those previous elections illegal."
"All the student representatives who became advisers in the mass uprising do not represent any political party. We have clarified this issue today. They have become advisers as representatives of the mass uprising," he added.
Nahid said: "We have told the chief adviser today that he should remain in charge and work to implement the aspirations of the mass uprising."
The meeting began at 9:45 pm on Saturday at the State Guest House Jamuna. The four-member NCP delegation was led by convener Nahid Islam. Others included chief organizer (south) Hasnat Abdullah, senior joint convener Ariful Islam Adeeb and senior joint member secretary Tasneem Zara.
