Who will be crowned Champions in Munich — Inter or PSG?

Two football powerhouses, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan, are gearing up to clash in the UEFA Champions League final. The match is scheduled to kick off at 1:00 am on Sunday (Bangladesh time) at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.

French giants PSG have secured every possible domestic title, but one major trophy still eludes them — the UEFA Champions League. Tonight, they step onto the pitch aiming to finally end that long-standing wait.

On the other hand, Italian club Inter Milan already has three Champions League trophies in their cabinet. They won back-to-back titles in 1964 and 1965. After the tournament was renamed the Champions League, Inter lifted the trophy again in 2010. However, this season, they narrowly missed out on winning the league title, losing to Napoli on the final day. Now, Inter wants to make up for that disappointment by winning the Champions League. This is their second Champions League final appearance in the last three seasons.

Meanwhile, PSG has been chasing the Champions League trophy for over a decade. They have spent huge amounts of money to buy star players. But even with big names like Zlatan Ibrahimović, Edinson Cavani, Neymar, Kylian Mbappé, and Lionel Messi, they couldn’t change their fortune. Their best result so far was reaching the final in the 2019–2020 season. A win tonight would not only make them the champions of Europe but also complete a historic treble.

So far, PSG and Inter have faced each other five times — four in international club friendlies and once in the Champions Cup. PSG has won three matches, while Inter has won one. The other match ended in a draw. However, Inter won the most recent encounter two years ago.

The question remains — will Inter add another Champions League trophy to their collection, or will PSG finally claim their first European crown? The outcome will be decided in just one match.
