Workers protesting for salary, Eid bonus block road in Gazipur

Demanding salary and Eid bonus, workers of Keya Knit Composite Limited in Konabari Jarun area of Gazipur blocked a road earlier today.

According to the sources, the workers are owed salary for the month of February. It has been announced that all their dues will be paid before Eid. Still, they did not join work and took to the streets, he said.

Police went to the spot and asked them to move away from the road. After talks with the workers, they were taken to the factory, and the situation is normal now.

Gazipur industrial police of Kashimpur zone's additional police super Dipak Chandra Majumder said, "The efforts are on to resolve the matter. Negotiations are going on with the owners and workers."
