Entry of public prohibited within 200 yards of HSC exam centres
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a special restriction on the entry of unauthorised persons within 200 yards of HSC and equivalent examination centres in the capital to ensure a fair, orderly and peaceful exam environment.
The restriction, effective from July 2, was announced in an emergency public notification signed by DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Tuesday, June 30.
The order applies to all HSC, HSC (Vocational), HSC (BM/BMT), Diploma in Commerce and Alim examination centres in Dhaka metropolis. The restriction was issued under sections 28 and 29 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No. III/1976).
The HSC and equivalent examinations for 2026 will begin on Thursday, July 2. A total of 12,67,486 students from 11 education boards will appear for the examinations.
According to the Ministry of Education's decision, examinees will be allowed to enter the examination centres from 8:30 am. All candidates must be seated in their designated rooms at least 30 minutes before the exam starts. Latecomers will be allowed entry in special circumstances, with their details recorded in a register.
