E-passport service launched at Bangladesh Embassy in Uzbekistan

E-passport service was inaugurated at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tashkent of Uzbekistan.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Uzbekistan Mohammad Manirul Islam presided over the event on Wednesday.

Brigadier General Mohammad Nurus Salam, Project Director, attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while Nilima Afroze, Deputy Secretary of the Public Safety Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs was present as the special guest.

Speaking at the function, the chief guest highlighted the features of the E-passport and briefed attendees on the progress of the service.

He expressed hope that Bangladeshi citizens residing in Uzbekistan and neighboring countries would benefit from the new facility.

The ceremony was moderated by Sukla Banik, First Secretary of the Bangladesh Embassy in Uzbekistan.
