Estonia expressed interest to collaborate with Bangladesh in ICT sector

Estonia has expressed a strong interest in collaborating with Bangladesh in the ICT sector, particularly in e-governance and cyber security.

Marje Luup, newly-appointed non-resident Ambassador, made this announcement during a courtesy call to Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain at the foreign ministry on Thursday (October 17).

During the meeting, both sides also discussed the possibilities of arranging student exchange programmes in the Information Technology Sector.

The foreign adviser congratulated Luup on her appointment as Estonia's Ambassador to Bangladesh and briefed her on the vision and ongoing reform initiatives of the Interim government.

Both the Adviser and the Ambassador also exchanged views on Bangladesh-Estonia bilateral relations and expressed willingness to deepen the existing bilateral cooperation further.
