The European Union (EU) wants to meet with the Election Commission to know the action plan for the upcoming 12th National Parliament poll. For this purpose, EU Ambassador Charles Whiteley has asked the CEC for a meeting time on Wednesday (November 22) through e-mail.

Ambassador Whiteley also thanked the EC for the earlier exchange of views on preparations for the parliamentary elections. Whiteley also said in the mail, "I would like to get the opportunity to attend a meeting at your office to learn more about the current work plan of the Election Commission."

In this regard, EC officials said, the issue of 'joint meeting' with EU ambassadors will be placed to the Commission. After announcing the schedule, the Election Commissioners have a schedule of meetings with officials at the divisional level. The time of the meeting will be fixed after the discussion in the commission.

According to the announcement of the 12th National Assembly election schedule on January 7, the deadline for submission of nomination papers is November 30 and selection of nomination papers is December 1-4. The last date of withdrawal is December 17.
