Ex-BCL leader Ruma arrested from Mymensingh residence
Police have arrested former Bangladesh Chhatra League central vice-president Jesmin Ara Ruma in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act over an armed attack during the student–public movement in July.
She was detained from her residence in the Malgudam area of Mymensingh around 12:30am on Monday, confirmed Kotwali Model Police Station OC Mohammad Shibirul Islam on Tuesday ( November 4).
Ruma, daughter of retired railway employee Abu Tahel and a former Dhaka University student, was later sent to jail following a court order.
