Expat’s wife, son hacked to death in Bogura
Miscreants hacked to death the wife and son of an expatriate in Sadullapur Bottola village of Shibganj upazila in Bogura. Police recovered their bodies from the house on Tuesday morning (September 16).
The deceased were Rani Begum , 40, wife of expatriate Idris Ali, and their son Imran Hossain , 18, a first-year HSC student at Fakir Uddin School and College in Bogura town.
According to police and family sources, Rani Begum lived in the house with her son. On Monday night (September 15), after dinner, both went to sleep in separate rooms. In the morning, relatives found Rani Begum’s bloodied body on the verandah and Imran’s body in the adjacent room. Police later recovered the bodies and sent them to the morgue of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College for autopsy.
Inspector (Investigation) of Shibganj Police Station, Abdus Shukur, said: “Preliminary evidence suggests the mother and son were hacked to death sometime during the night. The motive is still unknown. A motorcycle is missing from the house. Legal action will be taken following investigation.”
