Ex-PSC driver Abed Ali's son held

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested the son of Syed Abed Ali, a former driver for the Chairman of Public Service  Commission (PSC), in an inquiry over the leaking of a recruitment exam question paper.

ACC Public Relations Officer Tanzir Ahmed confirmed that news. He said the arrest was made by Deputy Assistant Director Zakir Hossain on Tuesday.

More details will be provided later, he said.

In January last year, the ACC filed a case against Abed Ali for amassing wealth worth Tk 37.5 million beyond known sources of income. Three cases were filed against Abed and his family.

The case accuses Abed of illegally acquiring Tk 37.2 million. The investigation found that 12 bank accounts in his name held deposits of Tk 200 million. The probe also found Tk 200 million had been withdrawn from the accounts.
