Extremist forces must not chain us into subjugation again: State Minister for Water Resources

State Minister for Water Resources Forhad Hossain Azad said, "I am giving you (Sanatan Dharma followers) this assurance on behalf of the BNP government that no evil force or religious fanatics should be able to bind us in the chains of subordination again."

He said this at a view-exchange meeting with Sanatan Dharma followers at Badeshwari Temple in Boda Upazila of Panchagarh on Friday afternoon.

The State Minister said, "The BNP government is on alert so that Sanatans can freely perform their religious activities. This election was at least important for Bangladesh. We formed the government by getting a single majority in 214 seats in the election. Our Sanatan brothers and sisters voted for us in this election. I want to assure you - I will personally maintain a relationship with you. Our government will provide you all possible cooperation so that you can worship safely."

The event was attended by Badeshwari Temple President Nitish Kumar Mukul Bakshi, followers of traditional religions, and BNP leaders and activists.
