Facebook's web version returned to normal in Bangladesh on Sunday afternoon (July 19) after a disruption that lasted for nearly 90 minutes, allowing users to access the platform again through desktop and laptop browsers.

The outage began shortly after 2:00pm, when users across different parts of the country reported being unable to access Facebook via web browsers.

Many said the website failed to load, while others experienced problems logging in or viewing their news feeds.

However, Facebook's mobile application remained functional throughout the disruption, indicating that the issue was limited to the platform's browser-based service.

Services gradually resumed after around one and a half hours, with users confirming that Facebook was once again accessible through web browsers.

Meta, Facebook's parent company, had not issued any official statement on the cause of the temporary disruption at the time of reporting.
