Fake female doctor held at DMCH again

Ansar members in charge of security have arrested a fake female doctor named Dalia Akhter (32) from the third floor of the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. At that time, the female doctor was wearing a white apron and had a stethoscope hanging around her neck.

The fake female doctor was arrested at around 11:30 am on Tuesday. Md. Selim, the platoon commander of the Ansar members in charge of security at the hospital, confirmed the matter.

Md. Selim said, "This morning, the woman was roaming around the third floor of the burn unit wearing a doctor's apron and hanging a stethoscope around her neck. At that time, other doctors saw her and became suspicious and asked her if she was a doctor at Dhaka Medical College. But when the woman could not give a good answer in this regard, the matter was reported to our patrolling Ansar members. Later, we brought the woman to the Dhaka Medical College police camp. When we asked her if she was a doctor or not, the woman could not answer. Even no doctor at Dhaka Medical College knows her. Later, the woman was handed over to the police camp at DMCH.’

In this regard, Inspector Md. Faruk, in-charge of DMCH police camp, said, ‘We have already informed the matter to the Shahbagh police station. A police team from Shahbagh police station came and took the woman away. They will take further legal action in this regard.’

It is worth noting that earlier last year, two fake female doctors named Swarna Akhter and Munia Roja were arrested from Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Later, the hospital authorities filed a case against them.
