BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has flown to Singapore to seek medical treatment for his wife, Rahat Ara Begum. The couple departed Dhaka on Wednesday morning aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight. According to BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan, Rahat Ara Begum had a pre-scheduled appointment with a physician in Singapore. “They left for Singapore at 8:10 AM as per the medical schedule,” Shairul confirmed. However, he did not disclose how long they are expected to stay in Singapore for the treatment. It may be noted that Mirza Fakhrul himself received eye treatment in Singapore just last month.
