Fakhrul urges BNP leaders, activists to tackle international propaganda
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has urged the leaders and activists of the party to play a strong role in the cyber world for tackling the propaganda being spread against Bangladesh and BNP in the international arena.
“The time is now not for chanting slogans only, we have to fight against lies and misinformation in the cyber world also through proper use of information technology,” he said while addressing a views exchange meeting with leaders and activists of the UK BNP and its affiliates at the Guildford Harbour Hotel in Surrey, London on Tuesday (December 10).
Mirza Fakhrul said, "After August 5, it was propagated from India that BNP is attacking minorities in Bangladesh. It spread worldwide in an instant. But I think BNP leaders and activists could not properly resist this false slander by using information technology."
The BNP Secretary General said, "Four British MPs have spoken against BNP and Bangladesh in the UK Parliament. That means, we have failed here. We could not convey the correct picture to them. We have to be vigilant and careful in this regard."
At that time, Mirza Fakhrul advised the UK BNP to form a social media cell.
He said, "There are many IT experts among the young generation who want to help BNP and Bangladesh through their IT expertise. You have to strengthen the war in the cyber world by joining hands with them. We have placed 31 points for changing the state system and structure. These 31 points are a Magna Carta. This is a roadmap for building a new Bangladesh. I urge everyone to present these 31 points."
The leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates from every city in the UK participated in the views exchange meeting.
