Farooki undergoes successful appendicitis surgery, says Tisha

Cultural Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki underwent successful appendicitis surgery on Sunday afternoon (August 17), according to his wife and actress Nusrat Imroz Tisha.

The surgery, which lasted nearly two hours, was carried out based on the recommendation of a medical board.

Tisha confirmed the procedure's success in a Facebook post, stating that Farooki is now in post-operative care and gradually recovering. "Alhamdulillah, the operation was completed successfully. He is under observation, and I ask everyone to pray for his speedy recovery," she wrote.

Farooki had arrived in Cox's Bazar on a four-day visit on Friday (August 15). However, after feeling unwell on the night of Saturday (August 16), the trip was abruptly cut short. He was airlifted back to Dhaka via ambulance for immediate medical attention.
