Faruk Hasan appointed acting president of Gono Odhikar Parishad

Faruk Hasan, senior vice-president of Gono Odhikar Parishad, has been appointed as the party's Acting President in the absence of Nurul Haque Nur, who is currently abroad for medical treatment.

The announcement was made through an official statement signed by party office secretary Shakil Uzzaman on Friday night (September 26).

The appointment follows the party’s internal decision based on Article 36(1) of its constitution.

Faruk Hasan previously served as party spokesperson and a member of the central executive council. He formally joined the party on December 31 last year.
