Farzana Sithi collects BNP nomination form

Model and activist Farzana Sithi has collected a nomination form from BNP to contest the reserved women's seat election in the 13th National Parliament.

She collected the form from the party's central office at Nayapaltan on Saturday morning, April 11.

"I will brief officially later. I have collected the form for the Narail-2 constituency. I am optimistic that I will get the final nomination," she told journalists after collecting the form.

Farzana Sithi, a resident of Jashore, previously served as general secretary of the Barguna Sadar branch of The Hunger Project, an international voluntary organisation. She is a student of Government College of Applied Human Science.

She came into the spotlight after a video of her altercation with an army officer at Shahbagh area in August 2024 went viral on social media.

Her entry into politics has sparked fresh discussions on social media and in political circles.
