A four-year-old child has reportedly killed by his father over a family dispute in Trishal of Mymensingh. Police recovered the body of Labib from Rayergram Bhatipara area of ​​Harirampur union of the upazila on Wednesday (April 1) midnight. Trishal Police Station OC Mohammad Firoz Hossain said that Labib's father, Sohag Mia, has previous charges of various crimes including theft and robbery. Labib was the son of his third wife Lamia. On Wednesday afternoon, Sohag went out to take his son Labib from his maternal grandparents' house to his own house. Towards night, locals saw his body lying next to a house and informed the police. Police recovered the body from the scene. Sohag has been absconding since the incident. The child's death has cast a shadow of mourning over the area.

ময়মনসিংহের ত্রিশালে পারিবারিক কলহের জেরে চার বছর বয়সী লাবিব নামে এক শিশুকে হত্যা করার অভিযোগ উঠেছে তার বাবার বিরুদ্ধে। বুধবার (১ এপ্রিল) মধ্যরাতে উপজেলার হরিরামপুর ইউনিয়নের রায়েরগ্রাম ভাটিপাড়া এলাকা থেকে শিশুটির লাশ উদ্ধার করে পুলিশ। ত্রিশাল থানার ওসি মোহাম্মদ ফিরোজ হোসেন জানান, লাবিবের বাবা সোহাগ মিয়ার বিরুদ্ধে পূর্বেও চুরি ও ছিনতাইসহ বিভিন্ন অপরাধের অভিযোগ রয়েছে। লাবিব ছিলেন তার তৃতীয় স্ত্রী লামিয়ার ছেলে। বুধবার বিকেলে সোহাগ তার ছেলে লাবিবকে নানা বাড়ি থেকে নিজের বাড়িতে নিয়ে যাওয়ার কথা বলে বের হন। রাতের দিকে স্থানীয়রা তার লাশ একটি বাড়ির পাশে পড়ে থাকতে দেখে পুলিশকে খবর দেন। পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থল থেকে লাশ উদ্ধার করেছে। ঘটনার পর থেকে সোহাগ পলাতক রয়েছে। শিশুর মৃত্যুতে এলাকায় শোকের ছায়া নেমে এসেছে।
