Father, son killed in truck accident in Rajshahi

A father and son on a motorcycle were killed in a truck collision in Puthia Upazila of Rajshahi.

The accident occurred at around 1:30pm on Wednesday in the Baneshwar Kola Hat area of ​​the Rajshahi-Natore highway.

The deceased have been identified as Kausar Imam, 35, and his six-year-old son Redwan Hossain.

According to eyewitnesses, the father and son were on their way to their home in Charghat from Baneshwar. They died on the spot when the motorcycle collided head-on with a truck on the way.

After the accident, an angry people seized the truck and set it on fire.

Officer-in-Charge of Paba Highway Police Station, Mozammel Kazi, said that the father and son were killed in the road accident. The truck has been seized and efforts are underway to arrest the driver and helper. Legal action is underway in the incident.
