Father-daughter killed in road crash in Ctg

A father and daughter were killed when a private car collided with a parked covered van in Mirsarai of Chattogram. Four others were injured in the accident.

The accident took place around 7.00am on Friday (September 12) in the Thakurdighi area of ​​the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway.

The deceased has been identified as Md. Golam and Muskan, 3.

According to police, a covered van, loaded with goods from a garment factory, was parked on the roadside in the Thakurdighi area when a private car traveling from Chattogram to Dhaka lost control and crashed into the rear of the van. The impact caused the front of the car to collide with the van. Tragically, a father and his daughter were killed instantly in the accident.

On information, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and rescued four injured people.

Two of the injured individuals were taken to a local hospital, while the other two were transferred to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

The victims resided in Sector 10 of capital's Uttara.
