FBCCI elections slated for September 7

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the country’s top trade organization, is set to hold its Board of Directors election on September 7.

The upcoming election will select key office bearers for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 terms. Positions up for election include the President, Senior Vice-President, two Vice-Presidents, and other members of the Board of Directors.

The FBCCI Election Board officially released the election schedule through a press statement on Wednesday.

This year’s election will be held in accordance with the Trade Organisation Act 2022 and the newly introduced Trade Organisation Rules 2025.

One of the key changes under the new rules is a reduction in the size of the Board—from 80 to 46 members—aimed at streamlining the organization’s structure and improving the efficiency of decision-making.
