Ferry services suspended on Daulatdia-Paturia due to dense fog

Ferry services on the Daulatdia in Rajbari and Paturia in Manikganj route have been suspended due to dense fog. Eight ferries, both large and small, are stranded at the Daulatdia end.

The BIWTC authorities suspended ferry services on this route from 3:20am on Saturday (January 25).

BIWTC authorities said ferry movement on this route was disrupted due to fog. As the fog intensified with the progress of the night, none of the channel beacon lights and marking points could be seen. As a result, BIWTC authorities announced a complete closure of ferry traffic on this route from 3:20am to avoid accidents. At this time, seven small and large ferries were anchored at the Daulatdia end.

BIWTC Daulatdia Ghat Assistant General Manager Md Salauddin said ferry services will resume once the fog level clears.
