Fire at BMU brought under control
A fire that broke out Wednesday morning (November 26) at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) hospital at Shahbagh in Dhaka, has been brought under control, authorities said.
The blaze started around 11.14am on the fourth floor of Block A of the hospital.
Seven Fire Service units responded immediately and successfully controlled the blaze by 11:32 a.m., just 18 minutes after the fire was reported, Anwarul Islam Dolon, media officer of the Fire Service, said.
No casualties or trapped individuals have been reported so far.
